We delight in designing and installing city garden rooms and also coaching clients to create their own getaway spaces that incorporate their personal aesthetics and functional desires, resulting in beautiful personal outdoor urban sanctuaries. Each landscape design includes a carefully thought out space plan of patio hardscaping, walls/fencing, structures, outdoor lighting, irrigation and plant material that can also incorporate a curated selection of furniture, planters and accessories. The client is presented with a 2D, 3D and video walk through of the designed space giving a thorough idea of how the space will be transformed.
Landscape & Garden Room Design
After initial contact, the client is asked to submit a design questionnaire (downloadable here) and site photos taken at various times of day. We will discuss the information then a proposal for design services will be submitted. Upon receipt of the design deposit, the garden design process will commence. Clients will receive a color 2D and 3D design, video walk through, plant photos and list and other images relevant to the completed garden space. We then work with trained artisans to install your garden room.
Garden Furnishings Selection
Not sure how to furnish and accessorize the space to make it your outdoor oasis? After carefully considering your style, space requirements and needs we can come up with a furnishings plan. The completed plan will include furniture, umbrellas, planters, rugs, lighting, water features, sculptures, etc.
Project Implementation and Installation
Bidding Coordination We delight in bringing the design into fruition with our network of skilled horticulturalists, electricians, irrigation specialists, masons and carpenters. Our project implementation and sourcing ensures a beautiful space is created. Beyond design, MGH Gardens can coordinate sending out the plan for bids. Bidding can be a stressful process. We make it easy by first identifying contractors to ask for bids. Then we work with them to make sure they understand and include all aspects of the plan in their bids. Serving as your advocate, we help you interpret bids before you finally choose who will install your garden.
Installation Oversight MGH Gardens oversees the installation of all the gardens we design. When installation begins, we are there to guide layouts, review materials, check on craftsmanship, and make sure the project stays on time. Most importantly, we ensure the design is implemented so that the quality of the finished garden is of the highest order.
